Last call: One week left to submit your project to participate in the Pitch session during the Warsaw Kids Film Forum!

The deadline for submitting films to participate in the Pitch session at the Warsaw Kids Film Forum is the 30th of June.  WKFF is Poland’s first international pitching forum for films and television projects aimed at a young audience. The Forum will take place from the 27th – 29th of September 2017 in Warsaw during the 4th edition of The Kids Film Festival.

During the Warsaw Kids Film Forum there will be a pitch session for 24 projects for kids – TV series and feature films looking for co producers, distributors, sales agents or financing. There will also be Work-in-Progress screenings of Polish projects.

The best pitches will be awarded prizes by WKFF partners, EAVE European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs, as well as The Financing Forum For Kids Content. EAVE will select who they believe to be the best pitch, and that project will be invited to join the EAVE Marketing workshop in Luxembourg (15-19 November 2017).  Representatives from The Financing Forum For Kids Content will also be inviting their top pick to present at their Pitching forum in Malmö (March 2018).

Projects can be submitted through our online form at until the 30th of June. Participation in the Pitching session as well as the pitching workshops is free of charge.

Projects that are being developed in the Kino Dzieci.Pro / Kids Film.Pro development program will also be presented during the Forum.

We are pleased to announce that representatives of film funds as well as distributors and sales agents from Germany, Denmark, Holland and Austria will be joining us at the Forum, also confirmed is the Head of Cinekid for Professionals from Amsterdam, and YLE the television station from Finland.

What kind of projects are we looking for?

  • Projects from Poland and Europe: in development, at treatment phase, with a script or in early production.
  • Projects with a screenwriter and a producer on board (a director is not required).
  • Feature films, animations, documentaries as well as TV series for children.

Get your accreditation as an Observer to participate in WKFF!

On the 12th of June we opened registration for participants of the Forum.  WKFF will be a 3 day event that has been divided into 2 parts. The first day of the Forum, on the 27th of September 2017, will be called Inspiration Day and will be comprised of: case studies, presentations and lectures about children’s cinema in Poland and Europe.

Observers – accredited participants of the Forum will not only be able to listen to the Pitches but will also be able to take part in our One-to-One meetings with invited Decision Makers from film funds, TV stations, distributors and sales agents, or discuss their project at our Consultants Tables with experts. The Forum is being organized for the film and media industries in Poland and Europe, with an emphasis on presenting projects from Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Baltic states and Germany. We are inviting: producers, writers, directors, distributors, sales agents, funding institutions, as well as others interested in culture for children. Warsaw Kids Film Forum will be practically helpful; connecting projects with potential co-producers, distributors and festivals; as well as educational, where the industry can discover the newest trends in film for young audiences.

Warsaw Kids Film Forum will take place from the 27th-29th of September 2017, at the Muranów Cinema in Warsaw during the 4th edition of The Kids Film Festival.

Warsaw Kids Film Forum is organised by the Education Department of the New Horizons Association.
